Whether you consider yourself to be vegan, a plant-based eater, or you're at the start of a journey towards a vegan lifestyle, if you find that you are usually the only one in the room, it can feel isolating. Non-vegans are unlikely to understand some of the difficulties that you face, particularly if you feel that your choices are not respected.
Being part of a group of like-minded people who 'get it' can help you feel understood, supported and give you a sense of belonging.
This group is for anyone who has made changes towards a vegan / plant-based lifestyle, for whatever reason. Its purpose is to provide a non-judgemental and safe space for you to explore the challenges that you face. You can find some of the benefits of online therapy groups here.
The online therapy group is not suitable for anyone suffering with an eating disorder, anyone in crisis or someone currently at risk of serious harm or suicide. All members must be aged 18 or over.
Sally is covered by her professional indemnity insurance to run therapy groups under UK law, and welcomes applicants from around the world.
This group will run fortnightly on Fridays from 5pm, will last for 90 minutes and cost £27.
The online vegan therapy group members commit to meet fortnightly and will be capped to 6 people to allow space for each person to talk. It is not a drop in group, it is a membership, and each person pays for their space in the group, not for attendance.
The group will meet on Zoom, which can be accessed on most devices. You will need a private space away from other people and distractions, and all members will be required to wear headphones to ensure confidentiality and ensure a safe space.
The online vegan therapy group is open ended. This means that you can stay in the group for as long as you like. When one person leaves, the first person on the waiting list will be offered the space. Sally will aim to keep waiting to a minimum and if a need is apparent and there is availability, she will set up another group.
